What about deliverables?

By deliverables it is meant the output you need. These days, most people are happy with .jpg images they can use on their social media feeds or websites. However, there are important considerations for deliverables of your event photography:

• Straight out of camera (OOC) jpeg images or processed images: You can trust the photographer to post-process images or you can do it on your own
• While photographers will deliver all captured images straight out of the camera, you can ask for only selected number of images to be post-processed as per your agreement. Do not ask for more images beyond the agreed number, and if you do, please expect to pay for such effort
• Please be clear about whether you want post processed images for display on the web or on smartphones, or if you plan to print a booklet or album, because print requires higher resolution images, and the photographer will act accordingly.
• Typically, photographers can take 2 to 3 days to process images, or even longer depending on the number of images and the photographer's schedule. It is always advisable to opt for processed images because they look better on screen and print. Basic processing involves exposure, color balance, sharpening, and cropping, which makes the images pop compared with straight out of camera images. All images shown on this page are post-processed.
• How fast you want the images (such as for press release, social media feed or web) is also important. You can pick a few images and ask the photographer to process and deliver these on priority within 4-5 hours after the event.
